Saturday 21st June 2025
The plan for this holiday is that you have one night at the start and end of our tour in Mullingar near Dublin, and four nights at The Grand National Hotel, with Leisure Club and indoor 20m pool, situated a few minutes from Ballina, the largest town in Co Mayo. A point to consider is that most of the rooms have a shower over the bath.
During your journey from Mullingar there will be a visit to National Famine Museum at Strokestown, one day will be spent exploring the local area of County Mayo, with a guide, a day viewing Mayo’s magnificent scenery including the Claggan Mountain Coastal Trail and visit Ballycroy Visitor’s Centre. You travel to Foxford Woollen Mill, founded by an Irish Nun, before visiting the National Museum of Ireland. Our penultimate day you will journey back to Mullingar calling at Knock – the famous Irish Shrine. After breakfast we will make our way to Dublin for a short visit before the ferry home to Holyhead and then back to Biddulph. Passengers will need a Photo I.D., dates of birth and don’t forget your ‘Euros’.
