Built as the control tower for the De Havilland airfield, the building was refurbished into the amazing hotel you see today. Named after the Comet plane, the hotel’s architectural design is known as Streamline Moderne, of the Art Deco style. After a multi-million pound refit, the Hotel has been refurbished for the modern age.
During your stay you will be treated to a visit to The De Havilland Aircraft Museum where walking through the numerous hangers, you will see vintage aircraft and witness restoration work in progress. This is followed by a guided tour of Hatfield House and Gardens with an afternoon tea. On Sunday you will take a short trip to The RAF Museum to see the extensive selection of Airplanes and military vehicles. Returning home you will make a comfort stop at Coventry, home of the famous Cathedral that was bombed during the war.
