As summer in the mountain comes to an end and the leaves start to change colour, one of the most cherished traditions in Tyrol begins: the Almatrieb. During this spectacular event, beautifully adorned cows return from the lush alpine pastures to the valley, marking the end of the grazing season.
Decorating the cattle is a symbol of a safe and successful summer on the alpine meadows. The most outstanding lead cows receive a traditional “Stafel” as a sign of distinction.
All passengers need a passport vaild for three months minimum, after planned departure.
