Booking and Payment
All day excursions must be paid for in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed by Hollinshead Coaches. A booking is considered confirmed once payment has been received and acknowledged by the company.
Cancellations and Refunds
If a passenger wishes to cancel their booking, notice must be provided to Hollinshead Coaches as soon as possible. Cancellations made more than seven (7) days prior to the scheduled departure date may be eligible for a refund at the discretion of Hollinshead Coaches, less any non‑recoverable costs already incurred. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within seven (7) days of the departure date. In circumstances where Hollinshead Coaches has prepaid for third‑party services or attractions, including but not limited to rail travel, boat trips, entrance tickets, or event admissions, such costs are strictly non‑refundable once purchased.
Transfer of Bookings
Bookings may be transferred to another passenger at the discretion of Hollinshead Coaches provided sufficient notice is given and any third‑party providers permit the transfer. The company reserves the right to refuse transfers where operationally necessary.
Departure Times and Punctuality
The published departure time is the exact time at which the coach is scheduled to depart. Passengers are responsible for arriving at the designated departure point in sufficient time prior to departure. Hollinshead Coaches is unable to delay departures for late‑arriving passengers as doing so may adversely affect the itinerary and other passengers. Failure to arrive prior to departure will be treated as a no‑show and no refund will be provided.
Seating Arrangements
Where possible, seating preferences will be accommodated; however, Hollinshead Coaches does not guarantee specific seats. The company reserves the right to reallocate seats at any time for operational, safety, or logistical reasons. Single travellers may be seated together in order to maximise available seating capacity.
Changes to Itinerary, Times, or Pick‑Up Points
Whilst every effort is made to operate excursions as advertised, Hollinshead Coaches reserves the right to alter departure times, routes, pick‑up points, seating arrangements, or elements of the itinerary where it is necessary due to operational requirements, traffic conditions, weather, attraction availability, or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the company.
Passenger Conduct
Passengers must behave in a respectful and reasonable manner throughout the excursion. Hollinshead Coaches reserves the right to refuse travel to, or remove from the vehicle, any passenger whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, abusive, or detrimental to the safety or comfort of other passengers or staff. No refund will be provided in such circumstances.
Personal Property
Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings at all times. Hollinshead Coaches accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage to personal property unless caused by proven negligence.
Force Majeure
Hollinshead Coaches shall not be liable for failure to perform or delay in performance of any obligation under these terms where such failure results from events beyond the company’s reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, traffic disruption, road closures, industrial action, accidents, or other unforeseen events.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hollinshead Coaches shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from participation in a day excursion. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation would be unlawful.
Acceptance of Terms
By making a booking with Hollinshead Coaches, passengers confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
